  • Paraphimosis.
  • A tightened foreskin.

How to diagnose a circumcised penis ?

There are many ways utilised by us to check if a baby has a circumcised penis. These are always used and recommended by our Doctor.

Physical examination- The Doctor can find the circumcised penis by looking at the penis of a baby. If the foreskin doesn’t pull back till the age of 5 then he recommends the surgery.

How to treat a circumcised penis ?

We use the surgical method to remove the penis foreskin and recommend it to be performed by the age of 1 year. At this age, it is easy to care for a child’s penis. The surgery we do is painless and the child will remain sedated till the surgery is complete.

The surgery is recommended normally 72 hours after the child’s birth.

There are 4 major steps involved in a circumcision surgery which are:

  • The baby’s arms and legs are restrained on a bed to avoid any movement
  • The anaesthesia is administered in form of an injection or skin cream on the child’s penis.
  • A special clamp is placed around the foreskin to cut all the blood supply. And the pediatric urologist removes the foreskin.
