Testicular torsion is a twisting of the male organ that makes hormones and sperm (testicle).When the testicle rotates , it twists the cord supplying blood to the loose bag of skin (scrotum) beneath the penis. This may occur after vigorous activity, a minor injury to the testicles or sleep. It is most common between the ages of 12-18. It requires great care and proper treatment and an immediate surgery otherwise if the blood supply is cut off for a long time, it can permanently damage the testicles.
